George Kash is arguably one of Canada and the world’s most widely known and versatile performers. The undisputed “Oktoberfest King | Mr. Oktoberfest” is a professional entertainer and Corporate Event, Beer Festival icon who employs his infamous interactive techniques – getting right into the audience and bringing people into his act in a way that would make any rock star envious, especially when he performs his World-Famous trademark move – drinking two beers and two shooters of Jagermeister while standing on his head.
At any Oktoberfest, George’s reputation surely precedes him. Heading the Oktoberfest Express Band, he has emerged as Canada’s Premier Oktoberfest performer and has rightly gained the title as the Undisputed Oktoberfest King & Mr. Oktoberfest.
This Lord of the Lederhosen & the Oktoberfest Express Band have gained international acclaim from such countries as Australia, Fiji, Morocco, Europe, and many other Oktoberfest functions – including Bingemans in Kitchener, Ontario Place, Canadian National Exhibition, Toronto Festival of Beer, Toronto Oktoberfest, Creemore Brewery, Steam Whistle Brewery, Mill Street Brewery, Saw Dust Brewery, Amsterdam Brewery, Canada’s Wonderland, Niagara Falls Oktoberfest, just to mention a few.
Talk to George Kash and he’ll likely mention gemutlichkeit. It’s a German word that means warm friendliness, according to the dictionary. George defines it a little differently: “It’s an untranslatable word that means good times, good food, good fun, good friendship, good beer – let’s party!”
“I’m a professional entertainer, that’s what I do,” he says with his characteristic, no-nonsense swagger. “It’s unbelievable you can make a living this way. I’m just all about a good time.” George is more than an entertainer, he’s an experience!
